For many years, my mother “Judy” served the local churches where she and my father pastored by leading the children’s ministries/children’s church, etc. Because many of those churches were small, Mom actually created and made many of her props, puppets, etc. What mom brought to the experience for the kids was TOTAL FOCUS and such love that many of the children, now adults, still remain very close to her personally.

Today, I went to church with my parents to the church my brother in law is planting and my parents attend. Retired, they no longer lead ministry but their influence on the church is obvious. Here is a snapshot of the some of the children now being discipled at the church. They are led by two women who once were children in mom’s ministry. I watched how they interacted with the kids and realized they learned by watching my mom and she continues to bless and teach children through those who once crossed her path.

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Revelation 14:13)
