I recently finished Mark Batterson’s new book The Circle Maker. I’ve read almost all of Batterson’s books and The Circle Maker is written in a very similar fashion as In a Pit With A Lion and Wild Goose Chase. This book will inspire you to dream and pray more, and pray with a specific intensity. You can read my interview with the Mark Batterson here

If you are interested in buy The Circle Maker you can purchase the Hardcover here and the Kindle here.

A few takeaways from the book for me were:

  • Be specific in what you are asking for from God. Most people don't know when God answers a prayer because they are praying very general prayers such as, "keep me safe", or "bless my food", or "use me in a great way". The more specific you are in your requests the more aware you will be when God answers them.
  • Don't be afraid of praying something that isn't God's will. If it not God's will he won't answer it, but being afraid of praying something that isn't God's will keeps people from praying bold prayers.
  • The more you pray the more you will pray for God' will.
  • God is waiting on people who will pray and dream big prayers, and work hard to see them come to pass.

I recently had a chance to interview Mark Batterson about his new book The Circle Maker, and ask him a few questions. I highly reccomend this book to everyone. I actually finished it last night, and I can't think of a book that has inspired me to pray more, more than this book. If you are interested in buy The Circle Maker you can purchase the Hardcover here and the Kindle here. Also for more information about Mark you can read his blog at www.markbatterson.com and follow him on twitter @markbatterson. For free resources from the book you can go to www.thecirclemaker.com.

1. The Circle Maker is a book about prayer, what compelled you to choose that topic for this book?
I've been so blessed by praying grandparents and parents. Those prayers have outlived them and shaped my life.  I almost feel like I owed it to them to write this book.  On a spiritual and practical level, I happen to believe that nothing is more important than prayer.  Is there anything more powerful than kneeling before Almighty God?  For what it's worth, the disciples didn't ask Jesus to teach them to lead or teach them to preach. They said, "Teach us to pray."  Why?  Because that is what set Jesus apart. He
